Intermediate Accountant
It’s all about the numbers! We know the detail is key to smoothly running a business, therefore finding an individual who is numbers-oriented, tenacious and a problem-solver is vital to our Finance Team. Resilient Management is searching for a motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our Vancouver-based expanding company. While working closely with our Head of Finance, the Intermediate Accountant will be expected to produce accurate and timely financial statements of multiple business ventures and projects.
Core Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly consolidated financial statements
    • Reviewing monthly journal entries, individual company income and balance sheet statements
    • GL account reconciliations
  • Analyzing Actuals VS Budgets to highlight variances and provide insights regarding these variances
  • Annual Budget Planning with the Finance Team
  • Ensuring all transactions are in compliance with complex company structure, while encouraging that corporate structure is adhered to.
    • Streamlining accounting processes
    • Reviewing of monthly f/s to ensure that all intercompany balances eliminate cleanly
  • Preparing audit ready backup files and folders to accompany financial statements
  • Supporting execution of key finance projects such as chart of accounts review, cost management and month end close process optimization.
  • Working with our Operations Team in ensuring that inventory accurately reflects inventory value
  • Processing payroll and preparation of working papers for salary analysis
  • Providing supervision to our Junior Accountant with day-to-day accounting functions
  • Willing to jump in where needed and enter bills and invoices into accounting systems and do bank runs
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of work experience directly related to full-cycle accounting
  • CPA or in the midst of currently completing CPA
  • Accounting in multi-company and multi-currency environment is a strong asset
  • Experience in QuickBooks Desktop and Xerox
  • Prior usage of Cloud Accounting Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload
  • (Bonus) Experience in international tax structure
